OVER THREE HUNDRED SIGN TEMPEST SMITH PLEDGE IN FIRST TWO WEEKS
Over three hundred online signatures have been collected in the first two weeks for the Tempest Smith Tolerance Pledge, as well as an 'uncounted' number of hard-copy pledges signed and sent to the Pagan Pride Project.
The Tempest Smith Tolerance Pledge, whose online format is located at http://www.paganpride.org/what/pledgeonline.html, is a pledge for understanding and religious tolerance, named after a Michigan girl who killed herself on February 20, 2001, at least in part because of her classmates' teasing her about her Wiccan faith.
The Pledge is available for online signing, and is free to be distributed and used by religious educators of all paths and beliefs with credit. For more information, contact the Pagan Pride Project at (317) 536-3145 or at http://www.paganpride.org.
